Novelties
Sections CMS is based on Nuxt, a modern Javascript framework. Over the past month we worked hard to migrate from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3
🚀 Why Migrating from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3 Matters for Website Builders
- If you're using or managing a website built with Nuxt, migrating from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3 brings major improvements—not just for developers, but for your overall website speed, ease of use, and long-term reliability.
⚡ Faster Websites = Better User Experience
- Nuxt 3 loads your website faster thanks to modern technology under the hood (like Vite and Vue 3).
- Smaller files are sent to visitors’ browsers, so pages load quicker—even on slow connections.
- Faster "cold starts" (initial loads), especially for landing pages or first-time visitors.
- 🟢 Why it matters to you: Faster websites improve SEO, reduce bounce rates, and make your visitors happier.
🧱 Built for Modern Web Features
- Nuxt 3 comes with new features that allow developers to build dynamic, interactive, and smooth websites more easily.
- Supports modular development, which makes it faster to build and update individual website sections.
- 🟢 Why it matters to you: You get modern, interactive pages—without long development times.
🛠️ Easier to Maintain and Expand
- With Nuxt 3, it’s quicker to add new pages, layouts, or features without starting from scratch.
- Uses a simple folder structure, so everything stays organized—even as your site grows.
- 🟢 Why it matters to you: Adding or editing sections in your CMS (like Sections CMS Cloud) becomes faster and more reliable.
🔮 Future-Proof Technology
- Nuxt 2 is no longer actively updated—only critical fixes.
- Nuxt 3 is the present and future, with a strong community, frequent updates, and active support.
- 🟢 Why it matters to you: Your website stays modern, secure, and scalable.
🧑💻 Better Tools for Developers = Faster Delivery for You
- Developers working with Nuxt 3 get better tools for writing, testing, and organizing their code.
- Built-in support for things like auto-importing components, automatic routing, and layout management.
- 🟢 Why it matters to you: Developers can ship updates faster with fewer bugs—so your site stays fresh and stable.
🤝 Easier Collaboration
- Nuxt 3 is more contributor-friendly, which means more developers can jump in and work on your site without a steep learning curve.
- Ideal for teams working on content blocks, design systems, or reusable sections.
- 🟢 Why it matters to you: You’ll get more flexibility and faster improvements when working with agencies or freelancers.
Corrections
- The following improvements have been made to provide a more user-friendly experience:
- When editing a section and submitting changes, the page now retains your position at the edited section.
- When exiting edit mode and confirming, the page keeps you at the same section rather than resetting your scroll position.
- Upon entering edit mode for a section, the scroll now transitions smoothly to the section without jumping to the top of the page first.
- In the Features section, when you add a new feature or edit the last one, your scroll position is preserved.
- Clicking "Add New Section" no longer scrolls you automatically down to the Blogs section.
- Re render section was reviewed
- To allow you to re-render multiple configurable sections on the same page, each with its own unique content and settings.
